Himalayan Mountain range is the biggest mountain range of the world and it also hosts the tallest mountain peak The Everest. Adventure tourists and mountaineers from all over the world visit Himalayas every year and go back with pleasant memories of this wonder on earths surface. Himalayan range is present in North of India bordering China and passes through India, Nepal, China, Tibet and Bhutan. This mountain range presents many unexplored places for the adventure travellers which flock here in summers from many different countries.
Summers (From May to September) is the best time to visit Himalayas as temperatures are favourable for outing and trekking in most of the region though lower ranges. Diverse flora and fauna of this region get maximum attraction of tourists along with its pristine beauty of magnificent mountain ranges. Many trekking camps are set up at lower heights and offer various different treks depending on once apatite. There are many things to be explored here depending on your mountaineering skills. There are relatively easier treks for amateurs and some steepest heights to be scaled for experts.
Usually many foreign tourists set up their base in Nepal and move around the region depending on their interests. Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal is located in foothills of Himalayas and has excellent hotels and other facilities for the tourists. People are very friendly and welcome all tourists irrespective of their cast, creed, religion or sex. Nepal has also religious importance for Hindus who also visit the country for pilgrimage.
As one goes further north in Nepal the mountain peak began to be taller and difficult to scale. On the Northern side of Nepal, located is Tibet region which again offers unique beauty and activities for tourists. Utsang, Kham, Amdo and Ngari are popular tourist attractions in Tibet. Tibet basically is a large plateau with a very distinct geographic beauty.
Towards the East of Nepal there lies a small but beautiful kingdom of Bhutan. When compared in size Bhutan would be similar to size of a Switzerland and offers yet again a unique cultural within the Himalayan territory. Paro, Thimphu, Bumtang and Lhuntse are major towns visited by tourists in this Himalayan state.
Sikkim and Ladakh regions of India also are good choices when visiting Himalayas. Ladakh is located in extreme north of India while state of Sikkim lies on the North-East Indian region.
